Locals are celebrating the launch of their very own community ‘Boat Shed’ at Coorong Quays, which will serve as an inclusive workshop space.
The launch comes after a year of planning and hard work by committee members and volunteers.
A community shed idea was first floated in early 2020 by the management of Coorong Quays when an empty shed at the marina site became available.
A committee was formed by residents, a membership drive was held and the wider community have since got behind the project, donating machinery, tools and equipment, plus a number of project boats to make the shed possible.
