Collingwood Football Club denounce Joffa Corfe over racist tweet about Indian aged care workers

The Collingwood Football Club has condemned one of its most passionate fans after he posted a racist tweet about Indian aged care workers.

The AFL club, which is currently undergoing a reckoning over its own racist past, publicly denounced the tweet last night, while also calling for Joffa Corfe to apologise for his hurtful words.

The backlash came after Corfe, the former leader of the Magpies cheer squad, took to Twitter on Tuesday to call for ‘Indian workers’ to be removed from the aged care system.

“Get rid off all Indian workers in aged care might be a start,” Corfe wrote.

The words sparked an immediate backlash among his followers with many calling for him to take down the tweet and others declaring it was the type of behaviour…
